Some rooms even had a balcony, which was a lovely addition to enjoy the surroundings. The tile/marble floor in the twin room was a nice touch, adding a touch of elegance. The air conditioning in the twin room was a bonus, making it pleasant and cool. The tea/coffee maker in the room was great for enjoying a hot beverage anytime. I appreciated that the rooms came with fresh bed linen and towels. Having a safety deposit box in all units gave me peace of mind.

The hostel organized a fantastic sunset boat ride and the view from the rooftop was outstanding. The room was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view. The AC worked perfectly and was not noisy. My stay at Monalisa was very nice. The location was ideal, right in the heart of the city with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and the Ganga River. While there were some minor inconveniences, such as the need to remove shoes at the reception and the narrow streets and occasional unpleasant smells of the city, these were outweighed by the amazing experience of staying in Varanasi's old town. The cleanliness and size of the dorms and bathrooms were also areas of improvement.
